Connecting Hydrus to Wi-Fi

• Exit all programs and the menu screen by tapping “END” until you are asked for a password
Call Forestry Systems at 1.800.868.2559 technical support to receive the daily password
• Enter the daily password provided by an FSI technician.
• Once you’ve done this you should be in the “DESKTOP” screen. Tap at the bottom margin of the screen to get the “START” toolbar to appear
• Tap on START>PROGRAMS> SUMMIT> SCU (Summit Client Utility)–If you have lower case letters in your network password then you will need to open and use the “KEYBOARD” program.
• Once in the summit client utility, click on admin login in the upper right-hand corner
• Enter thee password “SUMMIT” in all caps - this will be entered with the Hydrus keyboard buttons
• Make sure the handhelds current active profile is “THIRD PARTY CONFIG” (if it is not, change it to Third Party Config and restart your handheld).
• To restart your handheld, tap the power button once and then tap it once more to turn the Hydrus back on.
• Go to the profile tab at the top (next to main) and tap“SCAN”
• Your available networks should now be visible; click on your network and hit “CONFIGURE”
• Click “YES” to create new profile and type in the network password (lower case typed in via touch screen keyboard)
• Click "OK” and then “COMMIT” next to your new profile at the top
• Go back to “MAIN” tab and select new network next to active profile
• Restart your handheld (tap power button, wait one second, then tap again)
• Make sure status says “ASSOCIATED” and nothing else. (Wait 10 seconds)
• Exit SCU by clicking “OK” or the “X” in the upper right and double click “SYSTEMS MENU” to get back to programs

Congratulations! Your Hydrus is now connected to Wi-Fi.
